Pistons trade idea

Detroit: The Pistons would be acquiring a talented, young, versatile, big wing in Kyle Kuzma to add to their core in return for 3 players who were not expected to have big roles this year or thought to be in the teams long term plans. Kuzma could join Hamidou Diallo, Kelly Olynyk, Frank Jackson and Cory Joseph to give the Pistons a strong and experienced second unit. This trade would also clear out the Pistons logjam at the SG and SF spots while freeing up a needed roster spot. Eubanks could be kept around as big man depth or could be easily cut (hes on a minimum deal with no guarantee for next year) if the Pistons decide to give Pickett a roster spot or find a FA they may be interested in signing.

San Antonio: The Spurs look to be going into rebuild mode and the 34 year old Young does not fit in with that plan. In Sekou Doumbouya they add a recent lotto pick with lots of potential who may thrive with a change of scenery and a regular rotation spot. Harrell is a much better fit then Young for the current Spurs roster and should have plenty of value on the trade market when the deadline rolls around.

Washington: This trade would accomplish a few things for the Wizards. Josh Jackson would give them a much needed backup to Beal at shooting guard, Thaddeus Young gives them a big that can slide to center in small lineups, Okafor gives them depth at C if Bryant is slowed to start the season, and the team gains future cap flexibility by ridding themselves of Kuzma's long term deal in exchange for Youngs expiring contract.
