The Pistons took care of the San Antonio Spurs last night on the road. The Pistons were down by five at half time but they held the Spurs under 20 points in each of the final two quarters as they rolled to a 89-77 win.
Allen Iverson and Rasheed Wallace led the way with nineteen points. Tayshaun Prince had fifteen points and a team high twelve rebounds while Iverson pitched in with six assists and four steals. Kwame Brown got the start, played over 21 minutes but didn’t score a single point.
Rodney Stuckey led the Pistons off the bench. He scored ten and he dished a team high seven assists. The Pistons did a solid job on the defensive side of the court and they held the Spurs to under 40% shooting and their fourteen steals was an impressive total.
The win puts the Pistons three games back of the first place Cavs. The Pistons get a well deserved break and they take on the 76ers on Saturday at the Palace.
