Pistons 94, Hornets 85 (2-0) Hercules movie download
There were plenty of festivities as the Pistons played their first ever home game at their new stadium, the Palace of Auburn Hills. The Pistons also got a chance to see their previous seasons’ exploits honored when they raised both the Central Division title and Eastern Conference Championship banners into the rafters. It was the first titles that the Pistons had won since the team moved from Fort Wayne, IN.
The Pistons big quarter was the third when they outscored the Hornets 26-16. Adrian Dantley led the way for the second straight game and he scored eighteen points. Isiah Thomas was right behind him with 15 and he matched Joe Dumars with a team high seven assists. Three different Pistons had double figures in rebounds. Bill Laimbeer had a team high twelve, Rick Mahorn had eleven and Dennis Rodman had ten off the bench.
Defense was the name of the game in this one. The Pistons held the Hornets to just .347, while they were over 50% (.521) for the second straight game. The 2-0 start marks the first time that the team won their first two games since Chuck Daly took over as head coach in 1983.
