The Pistons continued their undefeated start to the season with their best offensive game to date. Isiah Thomas had a big game with 30 points and twelve assists while Joe Dumars had a team high 31 on ten of 16 shooting. Even Vinnie Johnson got in on the action and while he scored just six, he did pitch in with five assists.
Dennis Rodman grabbed a team high twelve rebounds as he got the start in place of the injured Adrian Dantley. He scored twelve while Bill Laimbeer scored fifteen and had five rebounds and four steals.
James Edwards led the way off the bench. He scored twelve and had four boards. Rookie Fennis Dembo saw his first time on the court and he scored four.
