Seems like this is as good of a time as any to get back into blogging the Pistons. With Rip Hamilton’s return, I’ll be getting back into the swing of things after a month long hiatus. The hope is to catch up with the diary as well. Of course I’m having Wordpress problems right now, so that makes things a touch more complicated, but I’ll manage. голова болит секс
If you’re a half glass full kind of guy, the Pistons got some top notch output from their starters in last nights win over the Bucks. Of course if you look at it the other way, you can say the bench laid an egg and the starters needed to get it done to pull out this win. голова болит секс голова болит секс
Now and Then the movie The Ballad of Jack and Rose release Tayshaun Prince led the way with 19 points and eight rebounds. Amir Johnson grabbed eleven rebounds and he was the lone starter not to top double figures with eight points but he had four blocked shots. Rasheed Wallace had a team high twelve rebounds to go with sixteen points while Allen Iverson and Rodney Stuckey scored 18 and 16 respectively.
Antonio McDyess was the lone bench warrior to get it done. He scored six and hit all three of his shots while Arron Afflalo scored three on one of eight shooting and he grabbed five rebounds.
It was nice to see the Pistons win their third straight but they’re still losing ground because the Cavs have won five straight. Next up are the Magic tomorrow night. They’re 24-6 with seven straight wins so this isn’t going to be an easy one.
The Detroit Pistons announced today that they picked up the option on power forward Jason Maxiell contract for the 2008-2009 Season.

I think that this is a great move by Joe D. Maxiell is the type of player that will add a spark coming off of the bench. Last year he averaged 14.1 minutes in 67 games. Look for that number to go up as he plays an increased role.
A lot was expected from Greg Oden this year. As the number one overall pick, he would have been one of the cogs that helped the Blazers back to respectability. Of course nobody expected the Trailblazers to contend, especially in the Western Conference so the injury may have a silver lining. It wasn’t that long ago that David Robinson went down with a knee injury that resulted in a horrible season for the San Antonio Spurs. Of course they ended up drafting Tim Duncan the next year because they had a such a good draft pick and he’s helped push the team to three NBA Championships.
So if you’re the Trailblazers, if Oden was going to go down for a season with a knee injury, this is the probably the one I’d choose. Now they should get another top five pick to complement Oden going forward and that could potentially push the Trailblazers into a situation where they can contend again.
One of my favorite baseball sites is Baseball Prospectus. That’s why I got really excited when I saw this. For now, Basketball Prospectus will just cover college basketball but the key word in there was “initially.” If their basketball analysis is going to be as good as their baseball analysis, this is going to be one cool site.
